Amazon's New Fire HD 10 Kids Tablets: Features and Release Date
Amazon unveiled two 10-inch Fire tablets for kids, the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro, priced at $190. Upgraded from the Fire HD 10, they feature improved specs and come with kid-friendly perks. Shipping begins on October 18.
Amazon introduced two 10-inch Fire tablets on Wednesday, targeting the youth demographic. The Fire HD 10 Kids is designed for children aged 3 to 7, while the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is geared towards 6 to 12-year-olds. Both devices are priced at $190 and are set to be available for shipping starting October 18.
These new models represent upgraded versions of the Fire HD 10, boasting a 10.1-inch full HD screen, 3GB of RAM, and 5-megapixel cameras. They are not only lighter but also 25% faster than their predecessor, the 2021 Fire HD 10. Additionally, Amazon unveiled a standard edition of the Fire HD 10 with 32GB of storage, starting at $140.
The non-Pro variant of the tablet will offer a Disney-themed option. Similar to other Fire Kids tablets, these devices come bundled with padded cases, a 12-month subscription to Amazon Kids Plus (providing access to kid-friendly apps and content), and a two-year free replacement policy in case of damage. The tablets boast an impressive battery life of up to 13 hours.
These new Fire Kids tablets are being launched alongside Kid-themed Echo Pop speakers and a variety of other products in Amazon's fall product showcase. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
