iPhone 15 Pro: Thinner and Lighter with Titanium Build - Latest Rumors

The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are rumored to be slightly thicker yet lighter due to a shift from stainless steel to titanium construction. Apples event on Tuesday promises exciting revelations.

The iPhone 15 rumor mill is buzzing with excitement as we approach Apple's highly anticipated event. With the unveiling just around the corner, leaks continue to surface, shedding light on what we can expect from the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

According to credible sources cited by MacRumors, the iPhone 15 Pro is poised to undergo some noteworthy changes in terms of its dimensions and weight. Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be slightly thicker compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro. However, this increase in thickness is offset by a reduction in weight. This weight reduction can be attributed to the rumored transition from a stainless steel chassis to a more lightweight titanium one, aligning with earlier speculations about these devices shedding some grams.

In terms of specifics, the iPhone 15 Pro is projected to measure 146.6mm x 70.6mm x 8.25mm and weigh in at 188 grams. This contrasts with the iPhone 14 Pro's dimensions of 147.5mm x 71.5mm x 7.85mm and a weight of 206 grams.

Similar changes are expected for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which may also see a slight increase in thickness from 7.85mm to 8.25mm. However, its weight is anticipated to drop from 240 grams to 221 grams, primarily due to the adoption of titanium construction.

For the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, it appears that the dimensions and weights will remain largely consistent with their predecessors, with minor variations. Notably, these models are expected to feature aluminum casings.

It's worth noting that these predictions are based on pre-production information, and Apple may have made adjustments to the design before finalization. Additionally, the choice of titanium, specifically Grade 5 Titanium or Ti-6Al-4V, known for its excellent corrosion resistance, suggests that these Pro models could be some of Apple's most durable and long-lasting iPhones to date.

All eyes are on Apple's upcoming event scheduled for Tuesday, where the tech giant is set to unveil four iPhone models, alongside potential releases like the Apple Watch 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Excitement is building as we await the official confirmation of these rumors and the unveiling of Apple's latest innovations.
