OnePlus Teases Upcoming Android Tablet Launch in India

OnePlus is preparing to launch a new Android tablet in India, hinted through teasers on social media and a Flipkart landing page. Details remain undisclosed.

OnePlus is gearing up for the imminent launch of its next Android tablet in the Indian market. The company recently dropped a tantalizing teaser on X (formerly known as Twitter), hinting at the impending arrival of a tablet. Simultaneously, a landing page on a popular e-commerce platform has leaked information about the tablet's availability. However, both the e-commerce service and OnePlus have remained tight-lipped regarding specific details pertaining to the tablet's design and specifications. Initially, the tablet was anticipated to debut early next year, alongside new OnePlus earbuds and the rumored OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R smartphones. However, there are indications that the tablet's launch might occur sooner than expected.

In the teaser shared by OnePlus, we catch a glimpse of what seems to be a tablet with a wide screen and a rear camera. The accompanying caption reads, "What's work without a little play," with the image bearing the text, "All Play, All Day." These hints strongly suggest that the upcoming tablet, tentatively named the OnePlus Pad Go, could boast all-day battery life.

Furthermore, the tablet's availability has been confirmed through a landing page on Flipkart. Nevertheless, as of now, both OnePlus and the e-commerce platform are maintaining a veil of secrecy surrounding the OnePlus Pad Go. Details regarding its specifications, features, and pricing remain undisclosed.

Previously, reports indicated that the OnePlus Pad Go would make its debut early next year, alongside new OnePlus earbuds and the purported OnePlus 12 and 12R smartphones. However, there are indications that the tablet's launch may be expedited. The tablet has also made an appearance on the BIS website with model numbers OPD2304 and OPD2305, suggesting that it might come in both Wi-Fi and cellular variants.

Notably, OnePlus unveiled its first Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad, earlier this year in February during its Cloud 11 launch event. The OnePlus Pad featured a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, a robust 9,510mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, an 11.61-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness level of 500 nits. Additionally, it boasted a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The OnePlus Pad Go is poised to serve as a more budget-friendly alternative to the OnePlus Pad, which made its debut earlier this year. While the OnePlus Pad boasted high-end specs, the Pad Go is expected to offer a more affordable option for consumers.
