Tracking iPhone 15 Pre-Orders: Shipping Updates and Tips

Early iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro pre-orders are shipping, but delivery isnt guaranteed before the September 22 release date. Track via UPS or enroll in My Choice for updates.

The initial wave of pre-orders for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro has commenced, with shipments now underway for early bird customers. However, it's crucial to note that the commencement of shipping does not guarantee delivery before the official release date of September 22. Instead, it signifies the initiation of the tracking process for your pre-order as it traverses the globe.

If you visit Apple's website to check your order status, you'll probably find that your iPhone 15 is still listed as "preparing to ship." This is a standard practice for Apple, which typically updates shipping status closer to the official release date, even if the package is already in the possession of the shipping partner.

Nonetheless, seasoned iPhone pre-orderers know of a workaround. By visiting the UPS website, you can monitor the progress of your order and observe its journey to your location, regardless of Apple's "preparing to ship" status.

The most effective method involves enrolling in the UPS My Choice platform, which will automatically display all packages destined for your address, including your new iPhone 15. Alternatively, you can use the "Track by Reference Number" feature on the UPS website.

To track by reference number, you'll typically use the phone number listed on your Apple order or your order number minus the last two digits. However, it's worth noting that UPS recently enhanced this feature for security, so enrolling in My Choice is the more reliable option.

Once you've located your iPhone 15 in the UPS system, you can monitor its journey worldwide and anticipate its arrival at your doorstep on Friday, September 22. In my case, the two iPhone 15 pre-orders I placed have already shipped and are en route to my residence, with an estimated delivery on the launch day.

It's important to keep in mind that not all iPhones may have transitioned to UPS for shipping at this stage. Therefore, if you can't find your order yet, continue checking throughout the week.
