The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now available for order in the United States and more than 40 other countries, priced at $799. Customers can expect to see this high-end Apple Watch in stores and on their wrists starting September 22. However, prospective buyers should be aware that certain configurations are experiencing significant shipping delays as of Wednesday.

Checking Apple's online store in the U.S., we find that models equipped with an Alpine band in Blue, specifically in Medium/Large sizes, are facing estimated shipping delays of 2-3 weeks for orders placed on Wednesday. Meanwhile, models featuring the Trail Loop in Orange and Beige, available in both S/M and M/L sizes, are grappling with an even more extensive 6-7 week delay. Nonetheless, there are still at least six band options that promise delivery on the September 22 launch day.

The second-generation Apple Watch Ultra boasts all the original Ultra's features and introduces several enhancements, including a swifter S9 SiP chip, a novel double-tap gesture, Apple's brightest display yet, an expanded altitude range, faster on-device Siri responses, Precision Finding capabilities tailored for iPhone 15, and innovative functionalities catering to water enthusiasts.
